Wiley Strahan

The Recharge Venture Group was founded in 2020 by Wiley Strahan with the goal of buying great businesses from exceptional owners. The search fund concept is only a few decades old, but small businesses ownership has been around for Wiley’s entire life.

Wiley grew up in a household supported by a small business and although he was not involved in the day to day of the business, learning through osmosis is definitely a byproduct of growing up with a business in the family. Owning a business of any size is a family affair and that is how Wiley likes to approach the process of acquiring any business. Without trust from both sides, the relationship and transaction is bound to fail.

Wiley’s Professional Background

Wiley is an experienced Finance & Operations leader with expertise in e-commerce, capital markets, real estate, and scaling businesses. He spent his early career with McMaster-Carr Supply Company, an e-commerce focused industrial distributor, managing people, processes, and projects. After receiving his MBA in Finance & Entrepreneurship, he worked for DaVita Inc., where he managed a financial analytics and special projects team that focused on capital markets, new market development, and quantifying legislative changes. In his current role with Performance Team Freight, he works cross-functionally to implement technologies that drive scale, help executives develop their growth strategies and work with new companies to improve their supply chains.

Separately, he co-founded The SB Investment Group, a real estate investment firm focused on providing everyday investors with multi-family investment opportunities.

Wiley earned an MBA from the Marshall School of The University of Southern California and a BS in Healthcare Management from The University of Southern California.
